own and operate this small mushroom farm located right outside of Rome. They moved to Georgia in 2016 from Florida together after marrying in 2013. Their love for mushrooms, customer service and this community made it an easy path for developing The Space Barn LLC.

The Space Barn specializes in gourmet and medicinal mushroom cultivation as well as wild mushroom foraging.

Where did the name “The Space Barn” come from? Panspermia. The panspermia theory is the idea that life is originated in space, in spatial ices, and continuously distributed to the planets by comets and meteorites. Its perfectly possible that mushroom spores landing on this rock we call Earth, were the origin of life on this planet. Mushrooms are the only living organism that can survive the vacuum of space.
